Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about TCGHeart.

Getting started

Is TCGHeart free?

Yes. The free tier includes full portfolio tracking, European market prices in euros, set completion, the Pokédex and 20 scans to try it out. Pro adds binders, price alerts, import and export, an insurance report and 500 scans a month, among other things.

Which games and languages are supported?

TCGHeart focuses on Pokémon. The catalogue holds over 95,000 cards from more than 800 sets, in English, Japanese and Chinese.

Where is my collection stored, and does it work offline?

Your collection is saved to your account, so it syncs across every device you sign in on. The app keeps a local copy too, so your portfolio still opens when you are briefly offline. Adding, scanning and live prices need a connection.

Which devices does TCGHeart run on?

iOS, Android and the web. Your collection syncs across all three. Only scanning does not work on the web, since that needs your phone camera.

Scanning

How does card scanning work?

Point your phone camera at a card and TCGHeart recognises it and adds it to your collection. You can also scan a photo from your album.

Can I scan more than one card at a time?

Yes. Besides single cards there is a bulk mode that keeps the camera open so you can scan a stack one card after another, which is free. Scanning a full binder page at once (up to 9 cards from one shot) is part of Pro, and vendors can scan a whole stack to buy or sell. Graded slabs are recognised too, with their eBay sold prices.

Will there ever be unlimited scans?

Free gives you 20 scans to try it out and Pro includes 500 a month. We cap scans because every recognition costs us money; the plan is for Pro to become unlimited once we scale. A scan only counts when a card is actually recognised.

My card was not recognised or matched the wrong one. What now?

Make sure the whole card fills the frame with the bottom edge visible, in even light with no glare. If a scan finds several versions you can pick the right variant. A scan that finds nothing does not count against your limit.

Prices & data

Where do the prices come from?

We use real European market activity to calculate an accurate lowest country price in euros, for both raw cards and graded slabs. We never use averages or trend guesses.

What does the price change or arrow mean?

It is the day over day move, today's lowest price versus yesterday's. Green means up, red means down. It is a daily signal, not a live ticker.

How are graded (slab) cards priced?

Graded cards use recent eBay sold prices per grade, since that is where slabs actually trade. These are US eBay sales and are shown separately from the European market price for raw cards.

Can I track sealed products?

Yes. Booster boxes, elite trainer boxes, tins and more are tracked with their own market price and history, and you can add them to your collection just like single cards.

Collection & sets

Can I organise my cards into separate portfolios?

Yes. Create as many named portfolios as you like, for example a personal collection and a chase list, and track each one's value on its own. You can also view the whole collection together.

How does set completion work?

Every set shows three nested goals. Base is the numbered main set, Master is everything you can pull from a pack, and Grandmaster adds the non pullable extras like promos and stamps. Complete Set adds the cards you are still missing in one tap.

Is there a wishlist?

Yes, and it is free. Add cards you want, set an optional target price and a priority. Pro members also get a notification when a card drops to their target.

Can I import my collection from another app?

Yes. Pro members can import from a CSV or JSON file, or paste a table from a spreadsheet. TCGHeart auto detects common formats like Collectr and Dex and maps the columns for you. Re importing the same file never doubles your collection.

Pro

How much is Pro and how do I subscribe?

Pro is 5,99 euro per month. You subscribe through the TCGHeart mobile app via the App Store or Google Play. There is no separate web checkout.

Can I get notified when a price changes?

Yes. Pro members can set price alerts on any card, above or below a target. You get an in app notification and a push when it triggers. Alerts are checked once a day.

Can I get a valuation report for insurance?

Yes. Pro members can generate a printable valuation report of their collection, card by card with totals, as proof of ownership and worth for an insurer. It is an indicative market valuation, not a certified appraisal.

Vendor & fairs

What is the Vendor tier for shops?

Vendor is a separate tier for sellers at 24,99 euro per month per organisation, with 2 seats included. It adds shared shop inventory, a shareable storefront, a fair point of sale and the events radar, on top of everything in Pro.

Can I sell at a fair with card payments?

Yes. The fair point of sale lets you scan a card, take payment in person via SumUp, cash or Tikkie, and it keeps a sales and VAT report. TCGHeart is for in person sales at your stand, not an online webshop.

What is the events radar?

It shows upcoming Pokémon fairs in the Benelux, which vendors are attending and who to follow. Full event details and tickets are on Pokeradar, our events partner.

Account & privacy

How do I delete my account?

In the app go to Profile, then Account, then Delete Account. On the web you can do it from Settings. Deleting removes your personal data. If you can no longer sign in, email us and we will handle it.

Who can see my collection?

Your collection is private by default. You can create a read only share link if you want to show it, and vendors can share a storefront. You are always in control of what is shared.
